About Down on the Farm Gala
The Down on the Farm Gala is an annual event to raise money and awareness for worthy causes our family feels called to support.
The concept began as a dream in 2019, when our family purchased a farmette outside Brooklyn. The property the event is hosted on has a rich history of farming and family that goes back to 1870. From the onset, we envisioned the property to be a blessing for not just our family but our community as well.
Our goal at each event is to raise $100,000 and have a fun time in the process. Because the Gala is hosted and fully funded by the Kaurich Family, all proceeds from ticket sales, silent auction items, live raffles, and yard games go directly to our Gala benefactor.

Our farm is located in Brooklyn, WI. Driving time is about 25 minutes from downtown Madison, 30 minutes from Middleton, and 40 minutes from Sun Prairie.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect?
Upon arrival, we invite you to explore our farm, feed animals, take a stroll by the lake, and partake in some fun yard games. We will also have a silent auction with dozens of items to choose from. The buffet dinner portion of the event will feature a presentation from our event benefactor(s) under a beautifully lit tent with live music, a bonfire, and dancing to follow.
What should I wear?
Our more recent Gala’s have had included a theme but it’s not required to dress in theme. We want our guests to be comfortable. Both formal attire and casual clothes are acceptable. Decisions may depend heavily on the weather. For example, if the grounds are wet, we recommend sandals or flats over high-heeled footwear. The interior of our new bar in concrete.
Can I bring my children?
Sorry, but no. This event is for adults only, 18 and over.
Will there be bathrooms on site?
Heated/air-conditioned bathrooms are provided. They are not ADA-compliant because they have a few steps to enter.
Where will I park?
We have ample parking on our farm. We will provide more parking details to guests before the event.
What meal choices do you have for dietary restrictions?
Food will be properly labeled for folks with dietary concerns. We will offer a gluten-free dinner for guests.
Will there be a bar?
Yes, drinks will be served free of charge from 4 pm to 10 pm. This includes beer, wine, specialty cocktails, soda, and water.
Will there be WI-FI available?
Upgraded commercial Wi-Fi will be provided on the grounds for all guests free of charge for the entire event.
What if I buy a ticket but then can not attend the event?
This is unfortunate, but the tickets are not refundable. We encourage you to find a replacement for your seat(s).
What happens if it rains?
With the completion of our new indoor facility, our Gala will be held rain or shine.
Is my ticket tax-deductible?
Yes, all guests will receive documentation of their donations after the event for tax purposes.
